Rema Devi Nair, 47 years old, has over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry commencing in 1988 as a specialist telecommunications writer at the Business Times, Malaysia’s financial daily. This was followed by over 8 years in TM, primarily in corporate planning and strategy. In early 1999, she joined the newly established convergence regulator, the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC), serving in various positions including Manager (Economic Regulation) and Industry Policy and Regulation. She currently holds the position of Head Group Regulatory Affairs at TMI. Her functions include the management of regulatory risk and strategy of the TMI Group, which includes investments in major South Asia and South East Asian countries. She is also a member of the Regulatory Advisory Group (RAG) of the GSM Association (GSMA) World.

Rema graduated from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Master in Philosophy (M.Phil) degrees in 1983 and 1987 respectively.
