Dr Hans Wijayasuriya is currently TMI’s Group Chief Operating Officer. With over 12 years of experience in technology related business management Dr. Wijayasuriya also holds the dual role of Group Chief Executive Officer of Dialog Telekom, a position he has held since 1997. A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) UK, Dr. Wijayasuriya holds a Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He also holds a Doctorate in Digital Mobile Communications from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.

In his extensive years in the telecommunications industry Dr. Wijayasuriya has served as Chairman of the GSM Asia Pacific – the regional interest group of the GSM Association representing 22 Asia Pacific member countries.

Dr. Wijayasuriya has also played an active role in Sri Lanka’s ICT industry on an honorary basis and has served as the Chairman of the Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies, as well as on the Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, and the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka.
